First published in 1925, the Postgraduate Medical Journal (PMJ) is published on behalf of the Fellowship of Postgraduate Medicine by the BMJ Publishing Group. It dedicated to the provision of a broad range of clinical and educational resources suitable for doctors in all specialties. The aims of the PMJ are threefold: 1. Help trainees by addressing the needs of examination candidates and focusing on the core competencies required by junior doctors.2. Help trainers by providing educational and practical resources that can be used in a variety of ways for teaching purposes.3. Provide clinically relevant and up-to-date articles that will contribute to the ongoing professional development of doctors of all grades and specialties. Published 12 times a year, the PMJ has a worldwide circulation and is available in both print and electronic formats. It is indexed by all the major indexing companies and its current impact factor is 0.944 (ISI Web of Science).
The PMJ publishes editorials, review articles, original research, clinical audit, case reports, clinical images and self-assessment exercises. All articles are peer reviewed, and must be submitted through Bench>Press , our online manuscript tracking and peer review system. Editorial board
